Bruce Heen spent most of his working career in the credit insurance accounting field for various life insurance companies. He began working as an accountant in 1980 and worked for different insurance companies until 1996 when he took the position of vice president with the Texas Workers Compensation Company in Austin, Texas. However, Bruce Heen returned to work in the insurance industry when he began work with Life of the South Insurance Company in 1998. His new position was as Vice President of Reinsurance, Corporate Tax and Internal Audit.
